Individual Therapy
The only thing standing in the way of your own growth and healing is the resistant part of you!
I am teaming up with the part of you that got you here today! The part that is taking a chance, a risk, and contemplating change. I am teaming up with that part because I believe we can work together on helping you explore your different sides, develop self-compassion, build self-confidence, identify your internal emotional triggers, learn how to regulate your emotional reactions and develop healthier skills to cope with life stressors.
I am a strong believer in change, but I also believe people don’t change unless they are personally convinced that their behavior is causing more harm than good. Even if you are not there yet, I am willing to work with you to build your motivation and readiness for change. Regardless of how slow the process may seem; we will work together on reaching the goals that we identify in the therapy sessions.
Here are some of the issues addressed in therapy:
- Interpersonal conflict
- Emotional dysregulation
- Self-esteem and self-worth
- Passive-aggressive behavior and assertiveness
- Communication and confrontation
- Dysfunctional and self-destructive behavior (eating behavior, self-harm)
- Perfectionism, high-standards and seeking approval
- Work and life balance
- Toxic relationships
- Depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and obsessive-compulsive behavior
- Family conflict and marital conflict
- Grief, loss and moving on
- Self-care and motivation
Family Counseling
We can’t change our family members, but what we can do is learn how to change the way we interact, react and respond.
A Family environment can have an enormous impact on the member’s well-being especially that families go through different life stages that may affect each member differently. When family members get stuck and can’t seem to find a way to move past the conflict, coming to therapy may be useful for identifying maladaptive interfamilial relationships and behavioral patterns within the family dynamics. The goal of family counseling is to help family members improve communication and develop healthier ways of interacting with each other.
It is also focused on helping the members develop skills to resolve conflicts that may arise within the home environment through stressful times. Sessions usually include all members of the family or only those willing to participate.
Couples Counseling
The only way to a healthy relationship is through building one!
Couple counseling is designed to help partners reach a healthier and more fulfilling relationship. It allows the couple who are in a committed relationship to work through the issues that are coming in the way and causing significant distress and interpersonal conflict.
As a psychologist, I help both partners look at the relationship in a more objective way, step away from the “blame game” and identify how each person may be contributing to dysfunction and conflict. I also help the couple develop healthier behavior to interact with each other, express their true feelings for one another in a healthy way and learn to identify their needs to the other person in a clear and honest manner.
Trainings and workshops
I believe humans have great potential to learn and evolve and a duty to share their experience and knowledge with their community.
The more we invest in our own growth, the more we owe it to the world to pay it forward. I have traveled to different places around the world seeking gold-standard trainings and workshops to gain new knowledge, expand my learning and strengthen my clinical skills and gaining new expertise.
I offer trainings/seminars in: Psychological Disorders and Treatments, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Regulations, Stress Management, Anger Management and Addiction Treatment.
